Users' Manual:

Comics and illustrations from a friendly neighborhood cloister, for anyone and everyone!
Each comic/illustration will be tagged with its characters or subject, so head on to the archives if you're looking for something specific.
Some comics and illustrations here are of my own book characters; even so, I try my best to make the jokes understandable to everyone. So don't be wary of any comic! And if in doubt, read any text to a post.
Also, for any post, click on the image and it will bring you to its original size. This may prove helpful for reading text bubbles, or simply if you want to go mad at the detail of sharpie strokes. It's your call.

About the Artist

For starters, I’m humbled you actually clicked on that “About the Artist” tab!

Well, let’s get going, shall we?

My name is Ulysses L. Harp. Feel free to botch it and call me Uly; people do all the time. To the left is the cartoon representation of myself you’re all familiar with.
Outside of this blog, I'm a writer and an artist of various mediums. I'm currently working on a literary fiction novel and a poetry anthology, both of which I aspire to publish. Other things I dabble in include photography, painting, and freelance (albeit amateur) illustrating.

In a nutshell, I'd say I'm pale, over-tired, and quite possibly over-caffeinated. I'm a permanent resident of the night-owl lifestyle, drink my coffee strong and black, and carry pen and paper wherever I go. You know, just in case I get an idea. I'm a wee bit of a cloister, and an undisputed introvert. Which really suits me just fine: except for the long periods of sitting. Five hours in a desk chair? You bet, I'm getting up for some coffee, and taking my sweet ol' time.

This blog first began as an online gallery for friends and family to view my artwork, and in a snap, evolved into the comics blog it is now. Since starting this amateur comic artistry and garnering hundreds of visitors and all sorts of support, I can honestly say this is best thing I’ve done in years. Not only has it reminded me of and revived my artistic abilities, but keeps me a busy, happy bee.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my little blog and “about me” page, and have a great day! Uly
